Easiest way to clean boot drive?

So, steam sale.

 

What's the best way to optimize free space on your boot drive? 

 

For example, I uninstalled Starcraft 2 that was on my boot drive and then I uninstalled battle.net, then deleted whatever I could find after that. Yet, I didn't get the full nearly 60GB of space back. 

 

Obviously, I set up all my documents, videos, downloads, pictures, music and whatever to go to my HDD and neither of my SSD's, but what I'm wanting to know is how people optimize their boot drive space configuration, easily? Or at all?
