Back light bleed... PLEASE HELP

Replace or nah? Just got it today. No dead puxels which is apparently quite uncommon.

I think it's like this on every monitor of this kind. Sometimes it happens. I'd call AOC directly or look for reviews to see if other people have problem with backlight bleed. If not then I'd return it for replacement and if yes then it's up to you.

I have the same monitor. I replaced my first one because of some wierd circle shaped backlight bleed. AOC were really good at handling it too.

 

The replacement I got is not free of backlight bleed, but I do not notice it in normal use. My advice to you is to watch some movie/series with a lot of dark scenes (I used Game of Thrones season 6) or play a dark game. If you are distracted/annoyed by the backlight bleed, then I would replace it. Be aware though that you are unlikely to find a 1440p, IPS G-sync monitor without some degree of backlight bleed, since they all use the same panel made by AU Optronics.
