Probably gonna buy a lg v20 before I spend that kind of money on a samsung or iphone. Then again I'll probably buy the samsung before the iphone because the ishops here are useless and to get any apple product fixed that's under warranty you have to send it back to the US which is fucking expensive.

I would've expected a 4K display and 8GB RAM and or at least bigger battery but whatever. Just what I though they'd go for. We'll see the retail unit.

As far as prices for smartphones, they're ridiculous seriously. I'm sure there will be like 256GB model also for over €1000 which is just insane even for tablet.

You can get a great laptop for that. Really can't see how smartphones skyrocketed to such prices and people just buy them constantly like bread.

The price jump isn't too surprising to me, plus they're all rumors until we actually see something released.

The Note is a considerable step up from the S8, so the price increase I'd say is justified. Considering most people finance phones like this, is anyone really that surprised? Samsung also has excellent trade in plans, so realistically you'll be able to pick one of these up for several hundred less than MSRP. I won't get this one, but I fully expect I'll be shelling out whatever they want for the Note9.

 

There will always be someone at the top of the price heap. This is that product. Get over it.

Yeah, it's a constant worry I have with my Nexus 5x as well. Just waiting for a couple more phone releases (Axon 8, Moto X4, Zenfone 4s) to see what I replace it with. Maybe the OnePlus 5.

I'll probably get the V20 since my gf likes my v10 so much but she has to keep her current phone for at least a year before I get her a new one

This is Samsung we're talking about here. Samsung is notorious for cramming too much half-baked gimmicks that only works half the time and no one uses and makes Android look like it's having constipation. Not to mention, software updates are taking months or even a year to deliver.

Meh regardless of what other phobe company comes out with im going to stick with the iphone. Cant risk compromising my phone because i do all my banking on it. Heck i havent pay a single bill in the bank for a well over 3 yrs now, all mobile. 

 

I dont even trust my desktop to do banking.

Here I am, sitting in the opposite boat. Only thing I want is security updates, which I still get. Anything more, and I find the new and "better" OS versions just running like dogshit on hardware that doesn't release along side it. I'll take Samsung abandoning the S8 and Note 8 after a major Android update and fixing everything Google fucks up.

to be honest, you can still get a galaxy s2( released in 2011) to the latest Android version easily.
