URGENT HELP required, was in the market for a NAS or external hdd solution(ssd too pricey) that is at least 16tb and doesn't break the bank. I am looking to use one for editing 4k content for a documentary. it should provide sufficient reliability and speeds for a smooth workflow ($1000).

Does it need to be network shareable or you just looking for 16TB of storage? If you just need the space an external HDD cage connected by thunderbolt/USB3/eSATA will do the job.

I already have numerous drives that id like to access at once so therefore a 16tb external storage will help as a backup as well as my editing drive for this project. Thunderbolt would be preferable. @leadeater

Few options to look at in those links, Rocstor/Silverstone/startech all make these types of external HDD enclosures. Have a look around on google for more as there are quite a few of them, search for external HDD enclosure.
