Projector Health Warnings: Pacemakers

So I recently got a Epson EH-TW5300 projector, and it came with a warning saying that people with cardiac pacemakers should not be in the vicinity when the device is turned on... My grandpa has a pacemaker, and I am not too sure if it is safe for him. (I am not sure how large this 'vicinity' is, as it doesn't specify.)

 

I don't see why a projector should have any bad effects on a pacemaker...?

 

The other warning states that a person should be at least 30cm away from the projector, but that doesn't seem to be related.

 

Does anyone know about this?
