RX 480/580 PRICE!!!!!!

RX 480/470/580/570s selling for $800 is a joke. I don't care how good they are at mining. When some of those cards sold for $250 when they 1st came out it seems like a sick joke that the prices are almost 3 times that. TRIGGERED!!!!!

finally sold mine for 440 dollars and upgraded to a gtx 1080. dude it's absurd. but it's also because they'll pay themselves off relatively quick from what i've heard.

Why would you be triggered? Gamers are making money, miners will I guess. I mean some people are gonna be hurtin after this is all over, but not gamers.

supply and demand.

Its better for most people if you sell the product at the price that supply matches demand, so if you really want it, you can get it, and sellers get more.

To pay off a $500 gpu you would need it to mine for about 3.5 months for it to pay for itself at today's current mining difficulty and ethereum price. That is an awfully long time to expect this mining to continue like this.

That makes...no sense. Not gamers? For those looking to buy an RX 580 or even a GTX 1070 at their appropriate price points, it *is* hurting gamers.

Oh, read the 2nd bit over. Yeah, once the mining bubble pops again, gamers can buy the cards normal price again and eBay gets a nice flood from miners regretting life decisions.

I'm just waiting for that bubble so my dad can buy a 1060 6G Gaming X. Was 220 a month ago, now it's 300.

They do. Lately it seems they're nabbing 1060's left and right.

@tmcclelland455

Since I had no interest in the RX 500 cards, I shrugged off the inflation..that is, until it reached the 1060's and 1070's. Was hell to find a nice 1070 at the 399usd mark, it's insane.

Right now you may as well spend 499 on a 1080. The 1050 ti and the 1080/1080 ti are the only two cards worth buying at their current prices for gaming.
