No screws

NegNoodles

Hi

SO i'm starting a new build recently. This is the first time I'm actually building my own PC, I've always depended on my friends in the past for help.

I have a MSI z270 gaming pro motherboard and a nzxt s340 white case. however i cannot find where the screws are to lock in  my PSU and motherboard. I have to rely other screws arleady on the case for the PSU but I do not know where to find the ones for my motherboad.

Also I have another question. The specs I have right now is a i5 7600k, a MSI GTX780, a MSI Z270 gaming pro motherboard, a 2TB Toshiba HDD and a Corsair CX650M PSU. I havent gotten the RAM yet as I bought SODIMM RAM by accident, stupid me. SO the question is, are these parts compatible with one another? I just wish to ensure that I haven't bought parts that do not work with one another. Also, the 780 won't be a burden to the 7600k right?

Yes they all work, PSU screws usually come in the PSU box, and no the 780 will not burden the 7600K at all. The 780 is quite an old GPU at this point.

a 7600k is better paired with a 1070 or 980ti, but a 780 will work with it

Thanks for the reply.

THis is because 780 is an old GPU of mine and as it's still working well, i found no need to buy a new one.

Also, I cannot find the screws in my motherboard box or PSU box. Is this normal?

You would need to find the screws in your PC Case. The case that you bought with your build is meant to supply the screws to secure your motherboard to the standoffs.

They should come with your pc case, also make sure you press the arrow pointing to the left under someones comment to quote them. Like that they get notified that you replied. Or you can use the @username to mention them

CPU - i7-4790k

GPU - MSI 980 Ti

Mobo - MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Thnks for the reply. I was too stupid to look in it that I even for the past few hours I genuinely believed that my mobo was sold in an incomplete package state
