Both PC's are able to view 4K video through the HDMI port. The AMD Motherboard has a intergraded WiFi as well as onboard ethernet, I wouldn't know which PC to choose to be honest. It is a pretty barebones PC able to do the job and do it well. Of course it will look different for someone with different needs but looks to be about exactly what you need for a media center PC with out breaking the bank.

Any reason for getting the 500gb WD Blue rather than the 1tb WD Blue? The 1tb version is only 55 cents more for double the space. (Both from Amazon)

500gb - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/HGTmP6/western-digital-internal-hard-drive-wd5000aakx

1tb - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/q3Z2FT/western-digital-internal-hard-drive-wd10ezrz

no specific choice just enough room to store a lot of pictures and home videos, music and movie/tv wise would be streaming mostly. At this point its just a matter of preference and what you want out of the machine vs what you actually need.
