GPU FAN FAIL - WON'T STOP SPIN AFTER USE!

Go to solution Solved by henriksen67,

SOLUTION:

Problem was resolved by removing the GPU from the PCI Express slot, remove the power cable to the GPU and then put the GPU back in the PCI Express slot and reconnecting the power cable.

Hi, recently I bought and built a new pc.

I used a MSI Geforce GTX Gaming 1060 X 3GB.

Specs:

Intel Core i5-7400

MSI H270i Gaming PRO AC Motherboard

1TB Blue Harddrive by WD

Deepcool Maelstrom 120T CPU watercooler

Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX (Special Edition) case

Be Quiet! Pure Power 10 500W PSU

8GB RAM (4x2) CORSAIR

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The thing is that once my GPU gets a bit hot 60+ celsius the fans are going full spin. The fans doesn't spin until it reaches 60 celsius.

After closing the game they won't stop spin until i turn my computer off again. I've tried waiting up to 1 hour, nothing happens.

I've tried controlling them with MSI GAMING APP & MSI AFTERBURNER but nothing works.

I've tried using default fan curve & custom fan curve in MSI AFTERBURNER but doesn't work.

I also noticed that the programs I've tried to use to control them shows that the fans are running at 0-RPM?

The CD that came in the GPU Box couldn't be installed since my ITX pc doesn't have a CD DRIVE BAY.

So I installed the newest drivers that i could find on NVIDIA's website and I've tried MSI's drivers, while using DDU for uninstallation.

So if anyone could help me fix this, it would be nice.

Thanks!

It keeps spinning until it reaches a certain temperature, maybe it's not reaching this temperature? What is the minimum temp it reaches AFTER you've played a game and it continues to spin.

Yes i know, I was just trying to explain that my fans are not showing. They're just showing 0 RPM.

That's like, the worst possible solution.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The True Path of the Feathered One. ~ Dimboble-dubabob III
