I just built my first pc for my 15th birthday and I would like to know if I would be able to overclock my ryzen 5 1500x with the stock cooler because I know the stock ryzen cooler is fairly good for a stock cooler

Go for it, just don't go over 1.35V (Core Voltage) unless you really know what you are doing. And if your system crashes, don't freak out, it is perfectly fine (unless you go over 1.35V).

Happy birthday mate :)

And yes you can OC that chip with stock cooler. But why don't you get R5 1400 instead if you are going to OC it anyway?

It will be cheaper, so you have more money to spend on other things, and performance will be the same at the end of the day when it comes to CPU power.

Just my advice

Intel i7 12700K | Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 | Pure Loop 240mm | G.Skill 3200MHz 32GB CL14 | CM V850 G2 | RTX 3070 Phoenix | Lian Li O11 Air mini

Samsung EVO 960 M.2 250GB | Samsung EVO 860 PRO 512GB | 4x Be Quiet! Silent Wings 140mm fans

WD My Cloud 4TB

Yeah, the stock is quite decent and should allow for some OCing

Worse stock cooler, less cache is a bit harmful, and I've heard of some that overclock not so great.
