Flickering in the eyes after using 144hz Monitor

Helly everyone,

 

I have noticed something weird. When I use my PG279Q right before going to bed, I notice a very apparent flickering after I close my eyes. It doesnt keep me from sleeping, but I still find it weird. I have never had this before and I have been gaming/using computer daily for a good 20 years now.

Is this a high refresh rate phenomenon?

Maybe the monitor is too bright?

You can reduce the refresh rate of your monitor for a test

Blue light makes your eyes very tired. Use f.lux and see if it fixes it

never heard of this happening but if i were you i would see an optician and let someone close to you know just in case you may this is epilepsy or something similar.
