AMD ReLive not working in games

I've searched online. Multiple people have this exact problem that got fixed by last driver update. Not me.

Context : Haven't used ReLive in a while. Been deactivated in my settings since long before Windows 10 Creators Update. It was working perfectly back then

AMD ReLive only works proprely when I record the desktop.

When using it in games in dedicated fullscreen (not borderless), it does one or more of the following :

  • The little status icon in the corner flickers like hell, same for the overlay if I press the Alt+Z hotkey.
  • If I press Alt+Z the overlay "pops up" but I don't see it (by that I mean that the overlay takes control of my mouse but doesn't show up at all "over" the game in fullscreen)
  • If I record (or save instant replays) when the the previous 2 issues are happening, the video is like 1 frame per 3 seconds (only game, mouse is full FPS)
    • OR records the desktop bellow the game (or the last image seen of the desktop)

  • When I record dekstop its fine. Overlay behaves proprely too.
  • When I record any game windowed or borderless windowed using the "record desktop" its fine. but thats because it records trought the desktop "engine". Not directly recording the game

Other info:

After the update if I try to record Overwatch or something else it says the video is not playable, which is bollocks because it worked before the update. I can record my desktop just fine though.
