best card option under £200

i sold my rx 470 on ebay and minus ebay fees i got around £200. I was looking at https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SGRANVI980GTX4GBAhttps://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SGRANVI970GTX4GBA , some ebay 970s and 980s on ebay, https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/Jt7CmG/zotac-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb-mini-video-card-zt-p10610a-10l and some others. yje 970 would be a decent improvement and i would have 30ish for a game, cpu cooler or to put towards ssd, cpu or ram. a 980 would be a big step up but im not sure if it would be worth it with my cpu and the 1060 is good apart from the 3gb vram

if u can afford a 1060 6gb get that or else the 980 is a better bet the 3gb version of the 1060 is bottle necked by the vram pretty bad

imma head into town tommorow and buy either a 970 or 980 from them so i dont have to pay delivery. i probably will get the 970 and save the 30 quid tho, i was pretty happy with the 470, so i think the 970 would be enough

duuude. the 470 is better than the 970 and about as good as the 1060 3gb
you should not have sold it, especially for that price.

That's... That's not even close to being right...

The 480X is barely on par with the 1060 in games that are running dx11, it takes advantage in dx12 titles but not by a massive margin. and given that the 480x is much faster than a 470... that means that a 470 is no where near a 1060... about 25-26% slower...

the 470 is NOT faster than a 970. On average the 970 has about 10% better computational horsepower, but in games it translates to almost 20% higher fps than the 470, its not even comparable.

That's a video comparing a 480 and a 570 to the 1060... Not a 470 mate.

you do realize that the only different is like 60mhz? that is negligible. though to be fair, you sourced userbenchmark, so i dont think you know your shit. ill give you a pass here

You have to be a troll, no one is actually this stupid.

You provide blatantly false information and misleading videos THAT DONT EVEN COMPARE THE TWO CARDS WE'RE TALKING ABOUT then want to talk shit on userbenchmark because it shows you that you're wrong. Just stop now, you're not winning yourself any favors bud. If it were GPUboss then you might have an argument, but you don't have one here. You're wrong, accept it like a grown up and move on.

1060 v 470

Average User Benchmark +23% on the 1060

Highest Overclocked Benchmarks, +19% on the 1060

Average FPS +26% on the 1060

970 v 470

Average Benchmark +9% for the 970, with +17%, +23% respectively on calculation of particle systems.

Average FPS +21% on the 970

Still don't like userbenchmark, then wait here a second.

Here, have some videos that prove me further.

Spoiler

you are not even funny anymore. there is literally NO difference between the 570 and 470 other than raw clocks, which are bumped up like 60mhz. that is a 5% increase in performance. lol

and those sites you linked dont state driver names. the polaris architecture SIGNIFICANTLY improved in December with the launch of new drivers.

youre funny man

EDIT: i saw the hidden video and i clicked on the only relevant one. and guess what... it showed the 470 and 970 trading blows.
