Is a new GTX 970 for 209€ a good deal?

Right now I could buy a MSI GTX 970 Gaming for 209 new. Is this a good deal?

I am pretty sure that you can find a 1060/580/570 for the same price....

Seeing that pounds are worth more then euro's or dollars i doubt that. Besides 980 TI for 209? show me :D cuz i do not think so

Finding a RX 570/580? No. That wouldn't work. I could order one and probably wait multiple weeks or months. Cheap GTX 1060 3GB cards are around the same price.

Can't you spend a bit more for a 1060 6GB? It's definitely worth it

Im running a GTX 970 in my rig and i have been for a 2 years now  and it can run most triple a games at medium settings well above 60 fps and some lower games at 120+ however soon this wont be a good card because it is pretty old so i would get a 980 ti or a 1070 just save up the extra money

My PC is a working/gaming PC. Thats why I bought the R5 1600. I'm really happy with it so far. But since I only borrowed an old NVIDIA GPU from a friend so I can use my PC I want to get a better GPU. But the thing is that I do play games but not demanding ones. And buying a new GPU which can run most games on 1080p 60FPS on high settings feels like a waste of money. A cheap GPU like the RX 560 or GTX 1050 would deliver me enough performance for what I want to do at the moment but these GPUs will be outdated earlier then better GPUs. Thats why I thought about getting an RX 570 but they are out of stock or overpriced. Then my plan was to buy a cheap GTX 560Ti for 20€ used so I can use a GPU which can play the games I want to play on 1080p (depending on the settings). Using the GPU I borrowed from a a friend isn't an option. Then I would buy a RX 570 (around 200€) and use the GTX 560Ti until it arrives. I could afford something like a GTX 1060 6GB but I just don't want to spend the money on such a high end 1080p GPU. And I don't want to spend more then 50€ on used hardware.

But like already stated by others, the 1060 6GB would a better deal.

The thing is that the 560 Ti would actually deliver me good enough fps on decent settings for what I play at the moment. Yeah talking about a 560 Ti and "good enough performance" feels strange but this gives you some information about the games I currently play. I could get it for 20€ and upgrade it when I need more performance. xD But lets see what games I buy during steam summer sale. xD But Fermi cards run pretty hot as far as I know and I don't know how long this GPU will last until it breaks. @PCGuy_5960
