Steam Summer Sale!

That's why you didn't buy anything unless it was on a flash sale unless it was the last day where the flash sales are off and you're certain that nothing will go farther on sale. :D

It was a cool concept but when you get older (and cynical) you will not miss things like these :P

I don't read the reply to my posts anymore so don't bother.

I still don't even have a dedicated graphics card. I was hoping to get a 1060, but I can't because of money issues.

Doesn't matter, just buy it. I'm still using my intel HD 530, could play Skyrim at 1080p high settings (except for that legendary edition).

Also, I highly recommend Fallout NV since you could max it out 1080p on an intel HD 530. I have yet to see it crash.

Lastly, waiting for Vega here. If disappointed, gonna get me a cheap GTX 1060 or GTX 1070.

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

How I plan my builds -

Spoiler

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

Yes, just play some older (but good) open world games until Black Friday. Skyrim and Fallout alone will occupy you for months.

EDIT: Just realised Black Friday is 5 months away so nevermind lol.

Or buy a used GTX 980 TI on Ebay for $300... Always a great option. It is what I did and it's a great 4k performer. The Strix stays super cool (low 60's) if you have good case airflow.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Not really: They're not exiting for me anymore because I mostly own all the games I'm interested in. I usually need to wait a year or 2 before new releases I deem not priority come down to 75 or 80% off.

Our wait a couple weeks for Stream to be undercut by Humble Bundle, Bundle Starts, and Gamers Gate.

They stopped with that when the refund system came. Because then you could buy something on normal sale, and if it came on flash sale, people could just refund and then buy it for a lower price.

Totally agree. I remember my first Steam sales 4-5 years ago when I spent over $100 in the first 2 days. This year, I spent around $10 on Broforce and DB Xenoverse and I think that'll be it. GTA V is still too expensive for a game that was released 3 years ago or so.

Also with an incredibly unfair ban hammer so probably not online. Also with no mods anymore or not as easily. So yeah hard pass on GTA V at this point we have far too many other very nice sandboxes.

All the games so far looks like stale bread and cold left overs, that no one wants.

It's like a sad buffet. xD:(

Speaking of Cities Skylines, their latest DLC is the transportation one where you have to pay like $15 bucks. Went to their site last week or so, and saw there is a free transportation update. I wonder is that a update for the paid DLC, or did everyone who paid $15 bucks just got the virtual middle finger, while the rest gets it for free.

I actually don't know. I'm just getting the deluxe edition for the extra $2.50

Damn, I could not resist the 70-80% discount for Age of Empires 2 HD, Age of Empires 3 and Shadow of Mordor.

I don´t even have much time to play, maybe 1 hour a day. I already have 4 games from the last steam discount which I have to play....
