Building a new home server

My old home server died recently and i'm looking to build a new one.
Last one ran for 7 years and I'm hoping to get as many years from the new one.
mITX form factor with @ least 4 HDD.
Uses: Kodi server, host small website, and pc backups.
Current thought is running Ubuntu wit the three HDD in a JBOD with zfs file system for redundancy.

My question is, does anyone see a problem with my current thought for the build.
Anything I'm missing, or thats overkill?

This is my PC so far:

G4560 is less costly and is still a HT dual-core.

Have you considered any SOC's like the Asrock C226 models?

might as well get the pentium, its half the cost, and same featuers and speed.

Use the stock cooler, its siler and cool with the dual cores.

id get a single 16gb dimm of ram so you can upgrade.

Also look at proxmox for the os, you have zfs support(you can install on zfs if you want and use the ssd as a cache). It also have a nice interface for vms to keep services isolated.

I thought about the SOCs, they certainly have an appeal. Something like the https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157475

But I plan on perhaps using this as a HTPC, Server, Streaming device, etc. and wanted it to last for a long while w/o feeling too sluggish.

I've had bad luck with RAM that wasn't binned together. So I always try to buy RAM as a package to avoid any issues.

So this is my updated list.

Swapping out the i3 for the Pentium G4560 leaves me room for a better boot drive. So I thought about swapping out the ADATA for a Samsung M.2 drive

The SOC should last quite a long time for nearly anything except VM's.

As far as the build goes, you don't need a better boot drive as a USB drive gives plenty and, dependent on the OS, the OS gets loaded into RAM making the boot drive essentially useless.

Maybe be careful with the Atom C2000 SOCs, there are problems with it: http://www.anandtech.com/show/11110/semi-critical-intel-atom-c2000-flaw-discovered.

I was thinking of running a Windows Server in a VM (not all the time) for learning and training.

Would the Pentium G4560 be able to cope with running VirtualBox on Ubuntu?
