Can i run 2 different ram modules with 2 different speeds?

if you have a 4GB 1333Mhz stick and a 4GB 1600Mhz stick, the 1600Mhz stick will downclock to 1333 to match the other stick

This can usually be done but understand the ram will only run as the slowest speed of the two.  So if one is running at 1333 and the other is running at 1866, then your total ram speed will be no faster than 1333.

In some cases the lowest speed memory can be overclocked to match the highest speed memory. I do not recommend you mix and match brands and speeds.
