Laser Mice

Siq

I'm into my editing and competitive gaming, and since I started both of those, I was gifted a Razer Mamba Tournament Edition to use, letting me spend previous cash I had saved on new PC parts.
Recently I've come into an issue where I assume, dust or hair is causing my mouse to spaz out when lifting up, and occasionally just not register anything at all for a brief moment. This is super frustrating.

So I'm curious to how everyone stops this/prevents dust etc from affecting the laser.

I have this problem with cat hair.  I use a Razer Sphex Desk skin for a mouse pad.  and so ill feel the hairs on the feet of my mouse before they affect the laser... with the cloth mousepad that i had before, just kinda dealt with it.

I couldn't really tell you exactly what mousepad I had, but I do know that the area I have my mouse around is the cleanest area of it, whereas where my keyboard sits does have a fair bit of hair and dust. I try to wipe it down as often as I can.

Laser mice just do that. Especially razer ones. Not even being sarcastic, the mamba tournament edition has a really awful sensor in it. Get a new mouse.

The mouse has done me well actually. Only in the past few months has it started doing this, and I've had it for well over a year.
