It explains why AMD has so many high-class partners right on their launch.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

aye it's good pricing for these CPUs, comparing these CPUs to a E5 2699V4 which costs $4000 is great as the xeon has less cores, higher frequency, but lower "total power" (64 threads rated at 2GHz is 128 instructions per second vs the xeons 96.8 (yes I know you can't quite equate them like this)) double the memory channels, 8 vs 4 and higher memory support, 128 lanes vs 40 I mean come on intel that's pitiful, and the dual socket 32 core CPU is still cheaper than the xeon so that looks fun. The xeon has a higher boost clock though.

It isn't if you want to actually use 128 pcie lanes.  Get near the max and your core gets starved for DDR bandwidth.  1 liner: they basically compromised the design to have a big bullet point number of IO.

They'll get ripped to shreds. Even Intel's 9000 Dollar Xeon has only 24 cores. EPYC is supposed to come in at around 5000 for its top-end chip with 8 cores more than that and much better memory and PCIe support.

I think they will still have 16 slots per chip it's just 4 dimms connected to each die.  Off the top of my head it's DDR4-2666 if they do 1 dimm per channel and DDR4-2400 if they do 2 dimms per channel.

It's kinda the entire headline for Epyc: it's good depending on your workload.  Most people don't understand that it's no where near a slam dunk.

hard to compare as ines a server CPU ones a HEDT, so with stuff like gaming the 7900X will destroy or anything remotely single threaded, but for multi threaded stuff the opposite will happen, you will need to wait for threadripper for AMDs answer for the 7900X which is a 16 core and it looks awesome
