Ryzen 7 1700 Build

Hey all of you!

I want to build a new PC, because my old one (AMD A10-6800K, 16 GB RAM, GTX 750 Ti) is so slow and loud, now that I can afford it. It will be primarily used for little gaming (MC, Rocket L.) and Virtualiziation in VMWare. 

Ryzen 7 1700 

ASRock B350M-HDV (the CPU won't be overclocked)

16 GB DDR4-2133 Crucial RAM

RX 570

250GB Samsung SSD + 1 TB WD BLUE

Thermaltake Versa H23

EVGA 500B 80+ Bronze

You need 3000mhz +  in memory for Ryzen, RX 570 are out of stock worldwide due to miners.

 

Consider a better PSU such as Seasonic M12II.

What do you need 3000MHZ + for ryzen?will the 2133 MHZ Ram not work?  And I find a RX 570, I saw it today on Amazon ;). I will consider the PSU

It will work, it's just that Ryzen works better with higher speed RAM

Worth noting that "better" actually is really better, like noticeable performance increase because Ryzen uses Infinity Fabric which is extremely depended on memory frequencies.

Check the thread in my signature about Ryzen ram. If you aren't overclocking (I don't know why you aren't as 3.7ghz on 1.25v on air is easily achieved) then I would go with a 1700X for auto boosting to higher speeds

MSI B350M PRO-VDH (supports Corsair 3200MHZ Vengenace Memory)

250 GB Samsung SSD + WD BLUE 1 TB

16 GB 3200MHZ Corsair Vengeance LPX

GTX 1050 Ti (to cut cost, my budget is extremely tight :()

be quiet! Pure Rock Slim (supports AM4)

Thermaltake Versa H23

EVGA 500B (money isn't there for new PSU :()
