Help me: Graphics card isn't outputting on HDMI

B3gburrt

So I'm not sure if my graphics card died or not. It hasn't showed any signs of aging or slow downs. I took out the HDMI and it stopped working suddenly. There is an output in terms of power, because the monitor recognises that there is a video but the video it's self is just black. I'm assuming the HDMI port is broke, but before I waste money on a display port cable, can somebody tell me if it's dead or not? The fans are still spinning and the LEDs are on BTW

Try connecting to another HDMI output (another PC? blu-ray player?). With the info you have, it's really hard to tell where the problem is. Could be that the HDMI cable itself is broken, or your display.
