installing wall plate in ceiling

I bought this wall plate assuming i could just install it in my ceiling as normal, but maybe I am mistaken.  PIctures are below.  How should I go about putting this in a ceiling?

Something like above.

I would cut a hole so that the USB and HDMI fit in the ceiling. Then use the anchor above to secure it. Those Anchors can hold 100 pounds. So I would say it would be safe.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

If you have drywall you'll need a existing construction bracket like this,

Installation is pretty straight forward, use the included template to cut a opening for the bracket, slide the bracket into the opening then turn the two tabs to lock it into the drywall and install your wall plate.

The only thing i would add is use a stud finder so you don't end up with a rafter/joist in the middle of your hole.
