Uograding current setup

xDylanio

Okay so my budget is around $300, I can probably push it to $400, maybe... Just maybe... $500. USD.

Okay so i have an i7-4790K, 980 ti, and the rest are in my signature.

So i can use the $300 to get a blue yeti and the new EKWB A240G. But one question I have is, will my 980 ti be able to get watercooled using that kit?

I could also try to upgrade my components. Maybe get a 1080 or 1080 ti.

CPU - i7-4790k

GPU - MSI 980 Ti

Mobo - MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Memory - 32 GB DDR3

Storage - 3.4 TB

The EKWK A240G uses the EK-AC Titan X Pascal water block. It's compatibility list (https://www.ekwb.com/configurator/waterblock/3831109890769) does not list anything outside the NVidia 10-series.

It sounds like you have some money and are interested in your computer, but you don't seem to have a clear idea of what you want. I would carefully think about what aspects of your computer will see a tangible benefit from upgrading and how much you value those benefits. Ask yourself: What would you use the microphone for? Why do you want to water-cool your components? Does your monitor have specs that could even use the power of a 1080 or 1080ti?

If your GPU doesn't get too hot then there's no need for a water block. I'd say your build is still good for at least 2 years, so maybe save more money for the future.

I don't see any reason to upgrade your current rig. It has some great specs imho. I would maybe wait another year, and then upgrademaybe the grpahics card. Up to you.

Now that you put it like this, the microphone for YouTube and just taking, i don't really need to water cool. My monitor is 2560x1440 60hz. Maybe i need to invest in a 144 hz.
