PS4 Repair

jaydosige

So, don't ask, but an SMD resistor has managed to break off of a PS4 that I have. I can't find the resistor anywhere and am trying to find the value of it. I've searched high and low for schematics and can't find any.

I've circled it in the picture.

If anyone would be able to point me in the right direction that would be awesome!

(excuse the circling of the memory, ICs etc, just an image grabbed from iFixit)

Have you tried to see if it still works?

Usually it doesn't do much and everything just works.

I'm not an expert tho :P

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

Yea was wondering that, the PSU is cooked so am waiting for a replacement so I can't test it right now. I'm also assuming it would be the same value as the one next to it (but assumptions can be dangerous haha).

What are you doing to the PS4 that the PSU fried and pieces are breaking off...?

Well the PSU was already fried and then I managed to drop something on the motherboard which broke off the resistor.

On top of that, whilst inspecting the PSU, I managed to give myself a 450v shock because I didn't discharge the caps hahaha
