I need help with something my fellow Boy Scouts (if you're not a Boy Scout then move along). I need Eagle Scout Project ideas. I have a few, but I need backup plans. Thanks.

I remember doing the box car thing, was fun.

Only four percent of Boy Scouts are granted this rank after a lengthy review process. The requirements necessary to achieve this rank take years to fulfill. Since its founding, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than 2.5 million young men.[2]

Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges. The Eagle Scout must demonstrate Scout Spirit, an ideal attitude based upon the Scout Oath and Law, service, and leadership. This includes an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages. Eagle Scouts are presented with a medal and a badge that visibly recognizes the accomplishments of the Scout. Additional recognition can be earned through Eagle Palms, awarded for completing additional tenure, leadership, and merit badge requirements.

maybe organize a clean up of a local park or organize some volunteers to go into senior citizen homes to talk with the seniors.

I would look to your town government or school. I had a connection with a retiring school teacher who had a project her class had conceptualized but had no school time left or funds to complete. I picked up the mantle and lead the design in funding organizing and leading the project, which was a memorial to students of that school who had served in either military or civilian service (police, fire fighter, etc)

The idea doesn't always have to be your own. What matters is that you are able to demonstrate and document your leadership

Contact some of the parks and rec people in your area through email. They usually have some park stuff like benches and other things that need to be repainted or replaced.

You need something "up there" in brownie points.

So Im not sure what you could do. You need to show your organizational skills, your leadership skills, your work ethic skills.

Something massive, so maybe a clean up of the rivers and highways and parks, with a BBQ and potluck party down by the lake or river, with a band playing for tips for payment. Then to kick it up a notch, have a fund raiser to help support clean water.
