Only bummer so far is the lack of Steam availability.

 

Windows Store exclusive.

 

Note that they're providing a "1997 retro mode" for those who don't like the graphical changes.

I recently played AoE II, and while I loved that game way-back-when the game mechanics and unit control has aged horribly. If you're going to remaster a game, please at least introduce modern controls.

All I can say is, weak af remaster. Only redone textures and resolution support? Didn't port to a 3D engine and probably didn't improve gameplay (trailer doesn't say much about that). Oh and xBOx live multiplayer in case you cared.

wtf i can't enroll. everything goes fine right upon the verify your mail so we can contact you, then i can click it all i want but it never gives any confirmation that it was successful. am i supposed to get an email or a webpage that it was successful? i thought it was my noscript adblock etc messing with it but even on a clean edge browser it gives the same result. and yea im logged in on the website of AoE and have the windows 10 xbox app linked to my windows account.

I am more of an AoE II kid as well ( came out in 94 didn't it?) but this is beautiful! I love that they are remastering these classics
