Battlefront 2 to support Cross platform multiplayer?

More than likely not.

PC players, even shit ones, would obliterate the majority of console players, and in such a competitive game it makes no sense. Each market is plenty large enough on their own. Sony also won't let open their closed ecosystem to microsoft, ever.

Dont think so, PC players would wreck all console users. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

It's not out of the question. They just enabled cross platform for gears of war 4 competitive modes. Though it's unlikely.

Yes, although gears of war 4 is a UWP game, so I imagine it was much much easier.
If Battlefront 2 was released on the windows store, there wouldn't been any major technical problems in getting cross play working with xbox one.
Again though, it's unlikely, but not impossible.

I'm hoping they release fifa 18 with cross play myself.

FIFA 18 would be a very good game with cross-play. I forgot it's coming to PC as well. As others have said, it's unlikely as Song are quite isolated when it comes to interacting with the other side IE MS.
