What Graphics Card Should I Get?

Hey guys, Volework again! Thanks for all the responses on my last topic, and I bring more questions!

I recently got a new job paying $10 USD an hour, $11 on weekends, and I'm super excited to get one of my New Year Resolution goals: Build a new computer!
Now, I pretty much now how I want it set up and what my budget is ($500). If you read my last post, you'll know I own an i7-2600 3.6GHz. I've talked to my father, who's worked on computers since he got out of college back in the 90's, and he said that I really could just use my 2600 again for the time being, but I might be bottle necking w/ my current GPU (MSI Twin Frozr GTX 750 Ti OC 2GB).

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do?
I apologize AMD fans, I'm not super interested. I've stuck with Intel since I got my first computer, and I intend to keep it that way (because of familiarity).

i7 2600 shouldn't bottleneck a 750Ti

 

Wait you are asking for what Graphics card to get in the title, then at the end of the post you are worrying that your CPU could bottleneck and you are sticking to Intel (CPU) only not AMD. So what do you want? CPU or GPU?

Keeping your CPU is probably a good idea. Do you have a mobo that can OC?

 

Also, do you need everything except CPU+mobo+ram new, or do you have everything else covered?

The 750ti is fine for now, but i believe your next upgrade should be a cpu/mobo/ram upgrade, maybe the 7700.  There should be no bottlenecking with what you have, but i suggest just saving up to get a whole new cpu/gpu combo.

It wont bottleneck your 750ti.

The i7-2600 is similar, if not better than modern locked i5s, so I'd recommend buying a used gtx 970 or r9 390. Make sure your PSU is good enough to handle these cards though.  Performance-wise, a gtx 1060 3/6gb or RX 580 also works, but they are more expensive.

the i7 CPU can run your GTX 750 Ti at full blast and has headroom for a better card - a 1050 Ti would be a nice upgrade and even a 1060 might still be fine.

the 750 TI is shit and nobody should get one. 

 

OP keep the CPU if you have a motherboard and then get an RX 580 and whatever else you need. if you dont have a motherboard then sell the CPU off and get a system with a G4560 and probably an RX 470

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
