does this ''Pre-Flashed 290 to 290X '' apply to all 'X' edition R-9 290's or does it just apply for overclocklers.co.uk s offer?

It applies that specific vtx3d brand of cards, not just ocuk. If i was you id hold off till the non ref cards come out unless your planning to watercool :)

i dont think so! maybe thats the reason for the price difference?

ocuk are just epic, so they flash the bois for you to save noobs possibly bricking there card trying to do it, although that would be hard cos they have dual bios i think  :)

what i am afraid of is losing the warranty by flashing it and that pre-flashed comes with a warranty so İTS AWSOME 0.0

And are you going to OC the card? Because, generally speaking, OC'ing a card voids the warranty as well. I can't see anyone wanting to get a flashed 290 (to x) and not want to OC. :-)

they can't tell if you have oc'ed it as its software based on your pc. flashing the bios would be fairly obvious unless your card is fully bricked.
