Dual channel kit 4 DIMMs, does order matter?

Go to solution Solved by Jurrunio,

Do they come as a pair or as 2 pairs? If it's the former then look up your mobo's spec sheet. If the latter, just fill all the slots in, unless you are using a server board.

Hey Guys!

So I have a stupid question, kind of.

I got a "Dual Channel Kit" of DDR4 RAM (Link: GSKILL F4-3200C16Q-32GVK)

Does it matter in which order i plug the DIMMs in?

So, are they marked with like numbers or something to indicate

which 2 DIMMs to put in the same colored slots?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards

TomSerious

It was a pack of 4 DIMMs (4 x 8GB).

So I guess, if all slots are filled (Maximus VIII Formula [4 RAM Slots]), then I should be fine right?

Thanks!
