Replacing standard watercooling tubing/compression tubing with e22 acrylic tubing. Hopefully turns out as good as I expect it too :)
Some of the cuts i've tried so far

Edit:
I've decided to add them today to see how they fit. I think they look really well so I will order the other 16 fittings I need and finish it off :).
I will have 26 compression fittings and some angled fittings spare now so will have to build another pc now :P

Edit:

Just udpating some of the picks that got removed when I moved my pics in photobucket:

  • 1 year later...

I've made some slight upgrades:

First I didn't put in the second 290x, its still in a drawer.

I upgraded the cpu to a 5820k

The motherboard is an X99 msi sli board

I now have a 500gb Samsung ssd in it. I put my second in my mini itx rig.

I have 2 * 4tb drives in it. (One internal, one external)

I've also replaced the v8 case with the v10 case

Just some more work in progress on my main rig, finally its actually starting to look nice, still a lot more to go.
When I get the looks finished I will pick up 2 gtx 980ti's or 2 of Amd Fiji cards when out.
It was like this at the last update and did not look nice at all:
IMAG0226_zpscpy9bvk5.jpg

IMAG0337_zpsumkdmkc8.jpg

It is now slowly taking shape
I still need fix the bottom front fan, put a small lcd in the front where I removed the phase change lcd, do cable management and a few other bits.
When I get it looking right I will work on performance :)
IMAG0348_zpsrdfz1vrf.jpg

IMAG0350_zpsnf5imkve.jpg

IMAG0338_zpsxqp2milh.jpg

Its now completely hard tubing throughout the case and looks a lot better

I wouldn't know where to get them anymore, I actually sold all 6 of mine.

I'm going for looks now rather than performance.

I'm using 11 sp 120mm quiet edition fans on 7v and 2 af 140mm quiet edition fans on 7 v also so barely push any air through the rads.

I think second hand is your only real option nowadays.

Recently I've been looking to upgrade the looks of my pc after getting an Asus Deluxe II as with the Led in the case the copper look on the Xspc blocks really stood out in a bad way.
I've replaced all Xspc blocks with EK blocks and upgraded to a Gtx 980 ti in the process to take advantage of my X34 Predator.

Gaming Rig with Xspc blocks and 290x

Upgrading the PC, loop ready to be filled

Finished look just bleeding the system and checking for leaks.

Looks tonne better, out of interest why did you go with a 980ti? I would have gone 1070 or even 1080 (i did).

Those Asus boards really look great, I want for for my build but the Mrs would kill me after the 1080 + water block!

I went with the 980ti as I got it with a block at a good price. I didn't get a 1070/1080 as I'm hoping to wait until the 1080 ti or AMD's next card comes out before upgrading to anything faster.

I just have to get some cable combs and it should look a lot better. I think I will remove the black thread from the PSU cables also.

Since I've pretty much got it the way I want it to look for the moment, the next sets of upgrades will mostly be performance related.
