What is my case form factor?

Hello, everyone

I was wondering what my case form factor was so that I could get a new case that is a little better.

I have an Acer Aspire ATC-780A-UR12 from Micro Center. 

Is there a way to determine the form factor of this case, or if it is a proprietary form factor for Acer themselves.

Looks like an m-ATX to me. If you want to swap cases though, first check to see if that motherboard has any proprietary fan connections etc as that could be problematic.

Is m-ATX the same as ATX Mid Tower? Like I said, I am new to this so I don't know much about this stuff.

a micro-atx tower is not the same as a mid tower atx case.

Your computer has a Micro ATX case.  The components will fit in another Micro ATX case or an ATX mid tower.  Keep in mind though, manufacturers like Acer tend to cut the PSU cables to exact lengths, so you may have to replace the power supply if you decide to upgrade the case with anything but one that has a top-mount for the PSU.  Also, if the photo I'm looking at of the motherboard is right, some of the front panel connections may be proprietary.

I did get a new power supply. What do I do about the front panel connections, though?

If you're careful, you can trace the wires to each front panel component on the old case to figure out where and how each one is supposed to connect.  Looking at the motherboard again, you may only have to do this for the power button and LED indicators, so this would definitely simplify things.  The USB 3.0, card reader (USB 2.0), and audio appear to be standard.

So, what do I do after I trace the wires? Would I rewire the new case? I am a little bit confused
