I highly doubt AMD has Quadro level cards and there is no way they can because they are too expensive to be used practically by anyone other than large business. 

 

A Quadro can cost more than the entire iMac Pro. 

 

So there is no logic behind comparing it with a Quadro card, if it did, the iMac Pro would be the best computer out there, period.  

 

Even then, when you look at its specs, its a hell of a value, and it looks like a badass.

Firepro is the equivalent. If the Radeon Vega Pro is a Firepro card, then you need to compare it to Quadro. If not, Titan is fine. 

 

And Apple does use them. All their flagship desktop Pro series have used Fire Pros. Like the trash can that used CF Firepro D500.

 

I really doubt they wouldn't at least have an option for Firepro in it. It would instantly disqualify it for alot of professionals that rely on quadro and firepros.

You keep forgetting that the $4999 price tag is ONLY for the base model, the maxed out one will be probably close to or over $15-20,000 just like the last one

The iMac Pro starts at $4999, I am yet to price out an equal PC. 

 

I haven't priced out a base iMac Pro, but the Screen alone and GPU carry a massive value, that 8 Core base Xeon isn't insignificant either. 

 

Also nobody on this forum knows how to estimate Apple Pricing because their blind hate gets in the way of their rationality.

Apple doesn't like Nvidia, and they probably have a reason that Nvidia doesn't want people to know about. 

 

This iMac is using Vega, seeing what AMD has been doing recently there is no doubt AMD can smack Nvidia down just like they did to Intel, at least for a little while.

you're forgetting apple charges stupid amounts for upgrades. like actually stupid amounts. we will all see the pricing when it comes closer to the release date. 

 

and the imac pro is nonupgradable. literally. it's all soldered and hermetically sealed. so it's a flat amount down that needs repurchasing whereas a PC has upgradability for the future.

their video and uncovered features page made it look like it has standard memory slots. And the user can remove the base so they can probably get in the back as well. 

 

All top tier 27" iMacs have been Memory upgradable.
