iMac Pro

starting with 20% thermal throttling, at $2500.

*for 2 cores, and a RX 470

*TN panel, but 4k also

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

So everything will be thermal throttling because it will be running at 80-90C all the time xD

rx470. budget card for presumably high end hardware is kinda insulting.

also the bezels are too thick. expected something nicer in the design department.

Awesome! But waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy to expensive for little old me to get one. And like everyone is saying, better hardware in the same enclosure (or is it even thinner now) will just throttle. Why don't they just make a desktop, like the old Mac Pros and PowerMac G5s? I've got a PowerMac G5, and the case is still beautiful, and it's from 2006!

the lack of better words, that thing is retarded, and looks like an april fools prank, as there is no way could those components fit in the imac chassis from both a thermal and power point of view, as it'd need to be at least 5 inches deep.

doesn't come the base model with vega gpus too? As far as I remember it from the keynote, it starts with an 8 core and vega.

And it seems like they enhanced their cooling, if it is enough we will see. I was quite astaunished that they announced even a 18 core model.

SATA 2 is 3Gbps. 3GB/s (as shown in that picture) is 24Gbps... Totally different measurements.

When will apple stop overpricing their hardware ?!

It is just fucking hot prices. Here in Croatia not even 0.00000000000000000000000001% has Mac. I don't know for rest of Balkan.

Apples stops overpricing their hardware and opens macOS to all PC's = Bigger profit from Mac's and more games and software will be compatible with macOS

These mac pros are gonna sell like crazy... I think they are pretty good.

The real question is this: for those who bought a $5000 machine, how fast they can make that money back using it.

If you use your hardware to create value, then you should not cheap on it.

For real pros, I think it is a good deal.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

WHY CAN I MAKE A MUCH BETTER 22 CORE 64GB 2TB DUAL 1080Ti RIG FOR THE SAME AS OR LESS THAN WHAT THEY WILL CHARGE FOR THE 10 CORE VERSION???!!
