Do you guys have any idea on how many power connectors will be there in the RX Vega consumer edition?

That's for the Frontier edition (the Radeon Pro of this lineup, I guess?). I wouldn't be surprised if it was just an 8 and 6 pin setup.

Isn't the Consumer Edition supposed to be a Frontier Edition with better gaming drivers?

High end or low end Vega are you talking about? I think low end ones will have 1 8pin and high end ones will have 1 8pin and 6pin, though card manufacturers might ship cards with 2 8pins.

From what I gathered about FE, it appeared aimed towards the professional/workstation/HPC market. Therefore, it should have better drivers (what kind of HPC user would want drivers that aren't reliable?)

I really don't understand why AMD is delaying the launch of VEGA. Now that they will be launching the Frontier Edition on 27 June, the consumer edition, that actually matters for the majority of the buyers, will be launched at the end of July, and then another couple of weeks for the card manufacturers to launch their version.

Any updates on the Ryzen 3 lineup that you know about?

I agree. I still think AMD could work out a deal with Micron to implement GDDR5X on Vega GPUs so that way it helps alleviate any shortage issues (aside from GPU die yields) and allow AMD to keep up with production.
