I'd actually call a large majority of people that bought the mbp idiots because they bought it for the brand and not the use case of it.

I didn't look it up, I told you the OS did it for me and thats what showed up. I did it again and the correct results showed up.

The rated spec for the highest end CPU on the Macbook line up is currently the 6920HQ which is rated at a frequency range of 2.9-3.8ghz. Now this 3.8ghz is only for SINGLE CORE turbo. 3.8ghz is NOT a rated turbo spec for all 4 cores. As highlighted in the NBC info above, the rated 4 core turbo speed should be 3.4ghz at base. The Macbook is not hitting that.

 

To make matters worse, the 6920HQ has unlocked turbo bins to OC up to +600mhz providing turbos allow to hit 4.0ghz (this information needs to be dug the fuck up because only users with 6920HQ's can provide is as the upper limit of turbo bins are not shown anywhere else). So we have a machine in optimal condition should be running up to 4.0ghz but is staying at 3.1ghz. The same max rated turbo speed of the 6700HQ.

Apple could sell a dog turd and call it the tech marvel of the century and every teenager and their mother would buy one.  The fact that they sold well only reinforces the idea that people that buy Apple products don't really look into what they're buying.  They just buy it.

I will now consider the AERO 15 from Gigabyte, but just so that everyone is pleased I will look into comparing the Mac and AERO . I like macs, (it's like a guilty pleasure), the OS is nice, and it just works. I know the performance difference and that is why I want to look into other windows options. Thanks to everyone for taking their time to comment and give their opinion, it's greatly appreciated.

Take the Beats line, for example.  Those of us who are even REMOTELY tech-savvy know that you could probably get similar sound quality from earbuds you can buy by the hundreds from China.  To me, that's sad.  Its sad because the consumer is not informed enough to know that Beats really aren't that good sounding, and Apple capitalizes SO HARD on it.  For example, Beats Studio headphones are the last thing you would want to use in a real studio, but people think that because it has Studio in the name that it must be good.

 

Back to the dog turd.  Apple called shit headphones 'Beats Studios', I'm sure they could get away with calling animal feces 'the tech marvel of the century' and it will sell.

Hope you get the product you feel fit for your needs!  I apologize if I seemed rough, I was just correcting someone that was recommending an inferior product to you.  It was a moral obligation.
