Google isn't the search engine that everyone uses. 

 

When the Aero 15 was first mentioned I right clicked and selected Search and 1080s popped up. Entered the search manually and 1060s showed up.

You are right. Ding ding ding. Intel XTU quantities "thermal throttling" on laptops at speeds below max boost clock on 4 core turbo. If you ever used Intel XTU you would know. This is not an OPINION. These are facts. My opinion on this matter is that Macbooks in general are not thermally engineered but acoustically engineered, which is completely fine. It's a difference in objective. But you cannot hawk around that Macs perform fine when they throttle the living shit out of it.

Power users think of overheating as the point when the hardware has to decrease speeds to run within acceptable temps. Just because you want to tote macbooks all day and be happy about what they do, you can not falsify the actual performance.

It is not false advertising because of several factors 

1. it still hits those speeds under very small loads

2. 3.8 on 1 core

3. thermal danger isn't looked at until 105c
