Stuttering in Watch Dogs 2

Adarsh Singh

Hey,

I experience heavy stuttering in Watch dogs 2 Even on lowest graphic setting even when on 720p.

This happens in urban areas (maybe due to more textures and a slow HDD) and while driving.

My pc specs:

Cpu AMD ryzen 5 1500x stock frequency

GPU gtx 1050 to 4gb beam

8 gigs of ram 2400 MHz

This never happened with any other game, but still.. I know that this game isn't optimised..

then its caused by a cpu bottleneck, maybe try to overclock it but i doubt that'll change a lot

I have this game with an i5 4690 and a gtx 1070

Runs like trash.

OFF TOPIC: I suggest every poll from now on to have "**CK EA" option instead of "Other"

I'm running this on 5820k and 1070gtx. No issues. High to ultra. About 50 to 60 fps

Watch Dogs 2 is very CPU intensive but otherwise it's well optimized.

Try lowering shadows and geometry quality. Those are the most CPU intensive settings in this game. My i7 6700 can't maintain stable 60 FPS if both are set to ultra or very high. Now I'm running geometry on high and shadows on ultra (shadows are so gorgeous in this game) and I get pretty high CPU usage in populated places but it's smooth enough.

EDIT: Seems like you tried low settings already. 1500X shouldn't bottleneck GTX 1050.

Problem solved:

In the Nvidia control panel:

Pre rendered frames=4

Create a custom resolution with 40 fps frame rate.

In Watch dogs 2:

Frame rate: 40

Vsync: normal.

Nothing very bad, now I can play on high details ? with constant 40FPS.
