Is the difference between the GTX 1050 vs 1050 Ti just clock speed?

Hi, I was hoping to buy a laptop, and right now Im looking at a difference between the 1050 and 1050 Ti. They both have 4G of GDDR5X memory, so I was wondering if overclocking the GTX 1050 would reach basically the same performance as the 1050 Ti. Thanks!

No, I don't have the differences memorized, but there are more cuda cores, and various other random things that make them distinctly different. Go for a 1050ti if you can as oc'ing a laptop gpu is questionable at best.

No the 1050 have 640 Cuda cores while 1050 Ti have 768 Cuda Cores.

gtx 1050ti is not worth it unless you have power restraint, go for the rx470, it's a better card.

While your at it, What do you think would be a good laptop with dedicated graphics and an i7 processer around 1000? Im fine doing upgrades myself if thats what it takes to drop the price.

avoid HP, what is your price point? a dell Inspiron 7000 with a i5/i7 and a gtx 1050ti should be good.
