New gaming laptop advice

Hello guys.

So I'm going to buy a gaming laptop and I have a dilemma between these two: Acer Aspire VX15 and MS I GL62M 7re-624

Here are the specs:

VX15

I5 7300HQ @ 2.5 GHz (up to 3.5GHz)

16GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM

GTX 1050Ti 4GB

1920x1080p 15,6"

256GB SSD

GL62M

I5 7300HQ @ 2.5 GHz (up to 3.5GHz)

8GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM

GTX 1050Ti 4GB

1920x1080p 15,6"

1Tb HDD

So basically the only differences are brand, amount of RAM and the size of the drive. I'm mostly going to use FSX, but other games are also on the shortlist. I know FSX benefits from more RAM, but I'm afraid of running out of disk space. Also need this to do some university work but nothing too crazy. Also worth mentioning that both of them cost $899 on amazon. Thanks in advance

the problem with them are quality control, most of these laptops will break within a year.

if you spend a bit more, you can get a dell Inspiron 7000.

The one with the 960m, and 8GB of RAM but an i7?

I've been looking and I can't quite stretch to the Inspiron. Where I live an extra $100 in MSRP represents about a $200 increase in price. Looking strictly for $900 laptops. So if the Acer isn't reliable, then I shall go with the MS I because it's quite an effort to pay $1200 for a $900 laptop. Do you recommend upgrading later to 16GB RAM?

Colombia. Everything sold in the US is about 30-40% more expensive here (in dollars). Man I wish I lived in the States, such a small PC community over here. And where do you live sir?

Acer Aspires are known for lower quality, they won't last long.

look for a higher end model of that MSI laptop, try to find one with better specs. ram and hard drives are something you can compromise on, don't compromise on the cpu or the gpu.

There's one with an i7 7700HQ for about the same price. All other specs are the same

(8GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM

GTX 1050Ti 4GB

1920x1080p 15,6"

1Tb HDD)
