My friend wants my PS4 Pro for his 980 Ti?

Which Should I Choose.

  1. 1. Which should I go with?

    • Keep the PS4 Pro.
    • Trade for the 980 Ti.

So yeah I don't know if I should do this or not. I mean I use my PC much more than my PS4 but I do still use it, but a 980 Ti would be a pretty decent upgrade over my 1060. What do you guys think? Also the 980 Ti is the MSI Armor Edition.

it will depend, you can get a used ps4 pro for around 300$ or get a new one on sale with a game for 350$.

new PS4 pro without sales will be 400$, i would keep the ps4 pro.

Are you finding that you want an upgrade from your GPU?

If the PS4 is pretty new though the trade might be in his favor, since a 980 ti is worth <$400 and PS4 pro is $400 new, plus he has one of the lower end 980 tis.

Since only a handful of games play any different on the Pro verses the normal PS$, trade up. Sell the 1060.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Definitely keep your Ps 4. The 980ti is only a very small upgrade from your 1060. It isnt worth it. You don´t gain any real performance since the 1060 is a nice card.

As long as you don´t want to make your friend a huge present don´t trade.

A 1060 is like a 980, and I see no (logical) reason to upgrade for a 980ti, let alone trading a ps4 for it.

Ultra is stupid. ALWAYS.

The 980 TI will probably drop in value below the PS4 Pro within a year or so, plus the exclusives may be worth keeping the console around.

If it was a GTX 1080 I might actually have voted for it, but the 980ti really is dropping in value even though it is an awesome GPU, PS4 seems more attractive.

Also, the 980ti can reach stock 1080 depending on silicon lottery so I would really ask those saying it barely is an upgrade facing the 1060 to reconsider their thoughts.

Yeah I was looking and seeing that the card is about a 40 some percent performance upgrade. but yeah the PS4 Pro price is about on par with the 980 ti.

Think you're quite mistaken, it's a pretty decent gap, a 980ti performs better than a 1070 in some cases. A 980ti can pull 30+ more fps in some games like battlefield 1, that's a lot.

There's more to life than modded Fallout.

You mean like I can't believe it's not Tomb Raider? Honestly that's all Sony has. Nothing they have has any value outside only being able to run on a PS4 so giving it's owner some feels.

The Pro is just salt in the wound now that it's been proven to have very limited support.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

It's a crack at their Tomb Raider rip off.

If Sony was offering something different like Nintendo does, the drop to 30fps is tolerable. For a 6-8 hour game at 60 bucks? Hell no.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I didn't understand him saying that Uncharted was all Playstation has. I don't particularly like 30 fps (though at least Nioh and The Last of Us play at 60 fps even on the cheap PS4), but Playstation has too many great games to ignore. I only have my PS4 for exclusives that I can't play on PC.
