First Build

I would like to stay under $2800 USD, including peripherals

2 Monitors

I have the keyboard and mouse picked out but will still take recommendations on monitors

Used for gaming

Using the case that is already on the link

Mainly would like someone with a bit more experience looking over the build

Want the higher CPU power for some school work

Thanks

Get a single 1080 ti, 16 gb of ram, and get a 1440p 144 hz monitor. If you can find a 1080p or 1440p 60hz version of that monitor with the same outside design fpr the second monitor then i'd get that. 144hz is really only useful for gaming so the second monitor would do fine without it

1. Switch to not only 1080 but 1080 Ti in SLI instead

2. Swap out the keyboard as Razer are bad in quality

Yeah that's basically it.

dont do 2 1070's in sli, go for a 1080 ti. it will be less of a trouble, as some games dont make use of sli so your fps will be bad.

I would do the build above...with a single 1080ti and a better cpu cooler, save the extra $600 for other aspects of life, games, or future upgrades since sli is poo

Nice! Isn't the PSU too overpriced? I think You'd better off with this, it's $2 cheaper. Or maybe you want This one? It's $10 cheaper

What CPU cooler would you recommend?

Well the 7700k is hit or miss on how hot it runs because intel did a craptacular job, so either one of the expensive air coolers that perform about as well as the big AIOs or a 240mm+ AIO
