Looking for desktop replacement grade laptop.

Ok, I'm looking for a desktop replacement grade laptop. It needs to have 32GB of ram, Raid 0 Nvme SSDs, and a GTX1080, w/ at least a Quad core i7. I do gaming(VR) and video editing in DaVinchi Resolve 14 but am planning on upgrading to premiere pro and AE. It needs to have 3 4k displays plugged in at the same time, along with a Vive. It also needs to have basic peripherals, a mic, a webcam, a capture card, and still have open USB 3.0 Ports. I can #DongleLyfe so IDC abt that. My Budget is Less than $3500USD. It needs to be decently quiet. I am currently looking at This. I would prefer if it had RGB keyboard backlighting and a Decent Display.

Main Laptop: Google Pixelbook

Dev mode w/ Cross Enabled

PC: Ryzen 7

1700x / 32GB 2667 / GTX 1080 / 1.5 TB of SSDs / 1TB of HDDs

Monitor: AW3418DW Ultrawide

120hz / 3440x1440 / RGB / Amazonbasics Dual Monitor Arm

2nd Monitor: Dell U2515hx

25 inches / 1440p / Portrait / Amazonbasics Dual Monitor Arm

Get an alienware 17" or equivalent for that sweet sweet rgb.  Probably has better cooling (read the amazon reviews on the ROG, 3/5 is not good)

Also, if you sign up for the newsletter and/or get it one one of the plethora of sales the superior alienware will likely cost less.

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Configure it yourself on the Dell website. Get the 32gb RAM and the ssd upgrades on this model.  It has an insanely better screen and battery as well btw.

What's the point of a mobile device if you're intending to strap it down with multiple displays and desktop peripherals...? You'd may as well get your monies worth with an itx system--can even splurge on an NCase if you want with that budget if you want compact.

Not like it'd be able to actually take advantage of that power unplugged without hardcore throttling. And if it's going to be hooked up to many things regardless, I question the laptop angle.

If you leave it at home you can also get a graphics amplifier and use it with ano the gpu to have even more outputs.  (For far into the future obviously but still good to have the option)

Well, When I go to friend's houses and lan parties. I Like having all of my files and PC power with me. It sounds crazy, but to me it makes sense.

Get the P775DM3-G so you can get the max clockspeed and cooling possible. The added benefit of mxm and desktop cpu are also appealing if desktop replacement is what you're looking for. http://www.hidevolution.com/evoc-clevo-p775dm3-g-custom-built-gaming-desktop-replacement-laptop.html

If it needs to be quiet, the Asus you're linking isn't entirely bad.

Here's how I rank the 17in spectrum.

Alienware 17R4 (ik, ik, but if you properly tune it this is the best bga laptop currenntly)

P775DM3 (best in class performance)

GT73VR

G701VI

All of these are good choices. Just depends what prices you get them at. With the exception of the P775DM3 which you absolutely can only get from HIDevolution because of how they tune it and liquid metal etc. But everything else depends on the price you can get it for.

@D2ultima come join the 17in debate.

Ok.

Why? This is a literal waste of money.

You're going to have a rather difficult time considering the number of ports on available laptops, as well as the maximum number of supported displays.

Decent Display.

Why?

Understandable.

Why did you pick a super thin model? And from ASUS no less? They're probably the worst company after Razer to purchase anything from since you want a tightly working machine.

After everything here, I can determine that your only real choice is likely a P775DM3 . But that's going to be rather close for your budget. And you're not getting raided NVMe drives, and those are still a waste of money even if you could afford it.

You're gonna need to make some compromises here. You can't get silent, powerful, high end. Gotta choose which one. I suggest making one of your 4K monitors be the laptop display, because the laptop 4K ones can be calibrated to 99% aRGB or thereabouts. Unless your editing monitors are 10-bit there's no benefit to using all three of them.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
