Hey guys, I'm looking for a new gaming laptop with a budget of around 2000 USD. Does anyone have any recommendations? Right now I'm looking at the ASUS ROG GL702VS with a 128gb ssd +1TB hdd. (i7 7700HQ + GTX1070)

I'm the guy who wrote the guide @Blackhole890 linked.

In the UK (and everywhere) Sager is known as Clevo.  Clevo's main U.S. OEM though is Sager which is why it's common called by a Sager name.

Anyway, check out PCSpecialist UK.  They have the Defiance III which is the Clevo P650HS or P670HS depending on what screen size you want.  The smaller 15" actually can come with a better 120Hz display.

I'm not a huge fan of the GL702VS as the cooling isn't great and Asus quality control is someone sketchy.

To clarify Clevo is the ODM.  They make all the chassis for all Clevo resellers and OEMs.  Sager is just one of them like PCSpecialist UK is.

Feel free to ask further questions.

^ obsidian PC is another european Clevo retailer that is great. These guys are better than PCSpecialist, but idk how shipping and taxes work in the UK in regards to importing anymore.

do not get the Asus. GL702VS design is pretttty stupid. Extra fan for "internal cooling" aka useless but loud. Temps are really high. not worth.

They are the best Clevo reseller in the world period.  But they'll cost a lot of money in the UK afaik.

It's not Europe...  Remember Brexit?  So idk how much it'll cost in the UK now.

It's more do able in the mainland of Europe since those countries are all in the EU.

Correct, but I believe they already have their own unique laws somewhat in place.  Not positive but because they aren't on the Euro it already was different.
