Backplate painting

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Hey, I´ve currently the Galax Hall of Fame 1080 and want to paint the backplate black because it would fit better to my system. I have no experience with custom painting and wanted to ask what i need to look for. (special paint, preparation, or anything else?)

thank you in advance

As long as there no heat that has to be dissipated by the back plate, then you can use a can of spray paint in black

Look for Plasti-Dip or something. It's supposed to look good, but then peel off if you need to RMA the part.

You could also use Vinyl wrap, it should be pretty easy to do.

Should be fine with any paint as all backplates are painted from the factory. I'd just do plastidip, just clean it well first.
