PSU fan spinning faster for no reason

nunocv

Today I changed my PC case to a Fractal Define C, it all went fine, but later tonight I started noticing that my XFX TS 550W PSU fan is spinning faster... I checked every fan, did the cardboard tube thing, it comes from the PSU (CPU fan stopped, case fans stopped, GPU fans stopped, still making the sound, kinda windy faster noise). PSU fan facing down.
What should I do?

Why did I study Haskell?

Does the new case fan draw a lot more power?  Maybe the temperature sensors are messing up.  I don't really know.

Is there enough air intake for the PSU?

try flipping the orientation of the PSU see if it makes a difference.

I dont think so, I went from 6 rubish fans to 3 fractal gp 12 so...

But I put my hand on th back of the PSU, and I can feel pretty much fresh air... The spacing for the PSU to breath is a little less, but It is on top of a table so no reason for it to ramp up, I'm getting worried that It might be dying and I have to replace it

if the new case has some thicker dust filters/smaller holes where psu fan is there may be less airflow into the psu so it has to counteract by raising rpm

Should I turn it around?

Up to you, i'd say experiment and see

That case has a PSU shroud. The PSU can only be installed one way, with the fan pointing down drawing air in from the bottom where there is a filter. If your fan is on the top it will be starved for air.

The psu shroud has holes
