MSI gtx 1060 gaming x fan problem.

I recently bought a msi gtx 1060 6g gaming x graphics card. While gaming only one ,of the 2 fans, is spinning at a high speed so after some time it gets loud. I don't know if it's a faulty graphics card or it just needs some specific regulation.
Thanks!

Does the other fan spin as well? EVGA cards can spin their fans at different speeds to suit the need of cooling. Not sure if MSI cards do the same?

Only one fan is spinning . The other doesn't spin at all. I just did some digging and found out that many people have this issue. There are some solutionts but i haven't tried anything yet because it doen't seem like anyone is completly sure about them.

Thanks!

Run Unigine Valley benchmark for 5 minutes~

Run MSI Afterburner.

What is the GPU Temperature after 5 Minutes?

What is the Fan Speed? Not only %, but also rpm?

This sounds like a faulty GPU. The Fans of this model are either off, or they spin both. Anything else is faulty.

The Cooler is btw so good, you should not hear it at all. even under Load, the Fans should spin at only 1000-1100 rpm~, maybe 1200, depending on case temperatures.

RMA the card. ^^

I saw online that the msi gaming app might causing the problem so i uninstalled it , reseted my pc and ran the benchmark. This time both fans started spinning after 60 C and after five minutes benchmarking the temperature didn't got over 65 C. I think that actually the app caused the problem.

Your max temperature sounds very realistic there ^^

So yea, probably the Gaming App is buggy~ (i had it too for a short time, didnt saw such a problem tho).

But i uninstalled it, because it interfered with MSI Afterburner ^^
