igpu + gpu w/2 monitors and oculus?

I have a 7600k and gtx1070FE and I'm trying to connect two monitors and an oculus rift.  I have igpu enabled and pci-e gpu set to primary.  I have oculus connected and those two work.  I can't seam to get the igpu to recognize a monitor in windows.  I look in display setting's under windows and I look in the NVidia control panel, both say one display.  I tried all three hooked into the gpu but the oculus wouldn't connect.

 

Display 1: 2560x1440@144hz (display port) on 1070

Display 2: 2560x1080@60hz (display port) on igpu

Display 3: Oculus rift (hdmi) on 1070

 

Both monitor's are capable of hdmi as well as DP

 

Any thought's?

do you have the drivers for the igpu installed? (intel hd control panel thing whateveR)

I think its one or the other.. both wont work together

Just plug all three into the 1070.

it should work, long as you enable it in your bios.

Check if using the integrated GPU and external GPU are both enabled in the BIOS. Sometimes the BIOS will automatically disable the igpu if you plug in an external one.

Is there iGPU multi monitor option in BIOS or something like that ?

Check your motherboard manual.

Most of the time, plugging in a discrete graphics card to your system will disable the integrated graphics.

Just plug all three of your devices into the 1070.

Before posting I went to device manager and checked that the driver was up to date.  Just now I used the keywords intel hd graphics control panel and installed it however it doesn't give the option to open the control panel, only NVidia control panel.  I found a Lenovo link saying that you can switch between the two control panels but couldn't find that option where it described.

I have an Asus Maximus IX Hero and in the bios it has an option to select multi monitor use for igpu, then it gives an option to make one primary and I chose PEG (pci-e graphics I guess).

 

Since the option in bios seams to say both can be used I'd imagine something else is incorrect.

 

My device manager say's that both are showing up.

That's the first thing I had when setting up my oculus for the first time with dual monitors but the oculus wouldn't recognize.  I'm going to attempt this again and see if I can switch around the port's that each is plugged into and hopefully one will work.  I'd prefer to not redo my cabling every time I want to go between dual monitor's and one + oculus.

have you tried using a hdmi on the igpu to monitor instead of a displayport? ya never know with funky problems like these.

ok, well I just plugged all 3 into the gpu and it's all working.  Who knows why it didn't work earlier
