Cooler Master's new Cosmos II

Cooler Master is celebrating their 25th year anniversary and to do that, they are releasing their 25th anniversary edition of their Cosmos II case. The Cosmos II 25th anniversary will is the same exterior design as the standard Cosmos II, but with a black and aluminum color scheme, a tribute to their original Cosmos. There are some updated designs to this case and now it has Blue ambient LED lighting as well as tempered glass side panels. What's great about the tempered glass side panels is, Cooler Master is also planning to sell them as separated components, so current Cosmos II owners can purchase it and give their case a update. The case will be displayed at this years Computex, which starts on May 30, 2017 to June 3, 2017. They are planning to release the case at the end of June 2017 in Europe and has a MSRP of 349 Euros.

Price were similar when they were both released. I believe the Cosair 900D was a bit more expensive or was it the Cosmos 2. Feature wise, Cosmos 2 wins, where the 900D only had a power and reset button, but the 900D can do HPTX.

Did the Cosmos sell that well that they're refreshing again? I saw that thing in microcenter and it's way too big to not have better liquid cooling support. I mean the 900d has five simultaneous mounting points that include support for 480 and 360 rads the cosmos has like a single out of the box mounting option for a 240 and it's just as big if not bigger.

Original cosmos was one of my favorite cases back in the day. Aged poorly, and the 2 didn't improve much. 5.25 bays you can't remove at $300+ is unacceptable in todays age.

I had that case, it's massive! That's one of the reasons I got rid of it. It is a really nice case, but indeed the water cooling options aren't many. One would have to do some modding to fit a radiator in the front for example.. I wish they had release this two years ago, then I could have bought the TG side panel.

I do not like the colors on this model, prefer all black.

Why is it so big?

Why does it look exactly like the old one?

Why does it have so many front bays?

Who uses front bays?

If I'm broke, can I rent it out as a guest room?

The Cosmos II is around 1000x uglier in person, I expect this thing to hold true to that.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Glass doors are nice, also not bad case finish. Though I'd look at other cases probably.

Had the original comos 2 and this is nothing new, just add a tempered glass door with a new paint job that's it "Anniversary edition". I swear they are getting lazy. The front Io isn't updated at all, had the same 2 usb 3.0 and 4 usb 2.0 . No type c or 3.1 they even hollowed out the out dated  Esata port and left it there empty. The waterCooling compatibility is as abysmal as before. Not even a 480 rad out of the box nor a 360 at the bottom. I believe they don't even bother reading the comments and reviews about the case before rebadging it as "Anniversary edition". it just a copy and paste job. Very disappointed. At this point, i rather get the 900D then this

If I was getting a case that large and for that price, I'd want it to support something like a quad-socket (or even 8 socket) motherboard, 32-64 DIMM slots (whether onboard or via risers or however some servers do them), lots of hot-swap 3.5" bays (like 20-25 or more), 15+ double-width PCI-E cards, etc.  Or something like the Supermicro 7088B-TR4FT, 6048R-E1CR90L, or combination of something like that.
