I heard Comcast's service drops frequently.

 

Anyways, here is my latest. Many people around my neighborhood switched to FiOS just recently.

For some reason my internet can be quite spotty, but I'm the only one awake. Yes, I am on wireless and have to go through a wall. I love this ping and 1Mb/s extra to my download.. Now if I had like 2-3Mb/s up.

You don't have it bad.. I was getting 4/1 then they found out we were getting over our 3/1 and now I'm throttled to 2-2.5Mb/s down and .8-.9Mb/s up...

This speedtest was half decent. :( I'd take Comcast over this any day.

Was told i had 40/10 but well, wireless may be weird. Wonder what the bandwidth limitations are on the b/g/n wireless connections. Anyways, I just got a powerline to fix that :D

 

Edit:

Installed the powerline now, and windows troubleshooting tool actually worked for once, it fixed my problem with some DHCP thing. Anyways: New results with a NAS going and somebody watching streaming service in the background:

Considering that the network is actually being used for tasks like that, I feel like its an acceptable speed.

It is possible that I will upgrade to 55/12 soon though, but for now, I'm happy with what I've got.

VPN use ups that speed to around 200 - 270 and then the upload goes down to 8mbps, but there's that.  Still can't watch YT vid's because of congestion between 1pm - 11pm.  VPN solves this, but it is ridiculous at times how throttled the area gets, but better than Comcast.
